Production

One of a kind

Due to using upcycled fabric, prints are extremely limited. Once a product is sold out I can not offer the same print again – there is no such thing as a re-stock in my shop. My pet bed shell patterns are already cut and just waiting to be sewn before being delivered to your best fur friend. It is for this reason that I can not offer a pattern that you like available in size small, in a different size.

Lovingly handmade

My products can slightly vary from photos shown. Fabric print positioning, handle variance etc. My products are natural and are intended to have that handcrafted slouchy look. So if you’re expecting the perfect templated mass-produced beds usually found in the pet store, my product is not for you.

Processing time

The time I need to prepare an order for dispatch varies. Most of my products are made to order, so it takes time to create and personalize your order. Orders are completed on a first come first served basis. If I am experiencing production delays the customer will be notified.

Delivery

Made to order

For our larger items we use tracked courier service such as CanPar, UPS, FedEx, and Purolator. These items can not be delivered to P.O Boxes, and require a signature upon delivery. Delivery times vary depending on the region, but are usually between 1-7 business days.

For our smaller items we use flat rate shipping with Canada Post/USPS, these items are not tracked and delivery times vary depending on the region, due to COVID Canada Post and USPS have no guaranteed delivery dates, so please expect delays.

Items returned to sender due to issues with the address or any other error made by the customer will be re-shipped at the expense of the customer.

Customs and import taxes

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I’m not responsible for delays due to customs. Items returned to sender for non payment of customs and/or duty fees will be re-shipped at the expense of the customer.

Lost Products

Once our products are in the mail we are at the mercy of the postal service and there is nothing we can do. Services like Canada Post and USPS are experiencing significant delays due to COVID-19. For this reason we can not guarantee delivery times on flat rate shipping. If your product has not arrived within 8 weeks of the departure date then it will be considered lost, at that time we will arrange to send a replacement.

Payment Options

We accept all major debit and credit cards in North America along with Apple Pay and Google Pay. We also offer and accept Former Fibres Gift Cards.

Returns & Exchanges

Due to the handmade nature of my products I don’t accept returns or cancellations. But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
I gladly accept exchanges, if you ordered the wrong size or your product is defective then I can offer an exchange or discount on your product. Please contact me for a resolution.

To exchange a product contact me within 7 days of delivery and dispatch items back within: 30 days of delivery.

Buyers are responsible for the postage costs on exchanges. The original postage on exchanged items are none refundable. If the item is not returned in its original new condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
The following items can’t be returned or exchanged because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can’t accept returns for:

  • Custom or personalised orders
  • Items on sale

Wear & Tear

Once our products are delivered to the customer we have no control over how it is used by customer or their furry friend. It is for this reason, Former Fibres does not offer a guarantee or warranty on our products.

My products are not indestructible, If your furry friend is prone to tearing apart their beds, then my product is most likely not right for you. I offer a line and custom options for extra durable products that are made from upholstery grade textiles like denim and outdoor canvas. This may be a more suitable option for your furry friend. However even these products do not come with a guarantee or warranty.

My products are hand made and well made with great care. I do guarantee my products against manufacturing defects for 30 days after delivery of your item. Replacement or repairs will be considered at my discretion after review. Regular wear and tear, chewed or torn items are not considered under this guarantee. Please contact me for a resolution.
